The 2002, 35th Annual Wheelmen Meet
Site of the Games and Races

Games and Races on Friday.

This panoramic was taken from the north end of the Colorado State Patrol Academy Driving Track where we are planning on holding the games and races.

The south end of the track where they have a large paved area known as "Skid Pans". This is where we plan to hold the games, box lunch, and awards for the games and races.

The pictures on this page were taken in early June, 2001 when Steve Stevens and Paul Brekus participated in the "Wheels Of Thunder" bicycle race. They checked out the course with other modern bicyclists to see if it would be suitable for the Wheelmen's games and races.

Colorado State Patrol Driving Track

The link above is to the Colorado State Patrol Driving Track. Our game and race course is on the top of South Table Mountain using this track. The State Patrol uses this track for a training course where they can practice high speed chases. There are areas called skid pans where we will set up for the games, box lunch, and awards. The full course is 1.47 miles around the track where we will have the relay race.
